What we expect from you

We expect you to acknowledge that there is a need for change and that drug use is no longer working for you. If you have any ongoing court or legal business it will need to be deferred for the first six weeks of the program. We ask that you agree to abide by the community's rules while in residence. If you have a special medical problem that needs individual medical services or supervision, please contact us to see if we have the resources to meet your needs. Children visitation can be arranged with MTAR staff.

What it costs

You will be required to contribute to your living costs while you are a resident in WHOS MTAR. Percentage of your welfare benefit or equivalent.

Dosing

In most cases your doctor will continue to be the authorised manager of your methadone dose while you reduce at MTAR. Generally you will remain on your prescribers 'methadone caseload'.

What If I leave WHOS MTAR?

In the event that you choose not to complete the MTAR program and return to methadone maintenance, your methadone registration can be recommenced.
