AFTERCARE
1/2 WAY and 3/4 WAY HOUSES
We aim to provide a safe,
supportive and friendly environment to assist residents with transition back into the
community. Development of living skills, establishment of support networks and personal
growth are encouraged through individual and house group processes. Liaison and advocacy
assistance with other community agencies and services is also provided.
ACCOMMODATION
Short to medium term residency is
available. We have a network of satellite aftercare houses. The houses are located in
areas providing easy access to shops, transport and community support services.
TARGET GROUP
Men and Women who identify with drug
related problems and have completed or are referred from a treatment program. Individuals
who have taken responsibility for their recovery and need a safe and supportive
environment.
ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
Individuals in recovery from
substance abuse, and accept responsibility to continue with their recovery.
Willing to accept and abide by the
rules and guidelines of the 1/2 way & 3/4 way Houses.
Willing to participate in weekly
house group meetings and attend required number of aftercare meetings.
Willing to participate and contribute
towards community living within the House(s) on an equal basis with fellow residents.
